A sour, musty attic, aroma up front, with some mint and unripe apples and pears. Not mouth-wateringly appetizing, but highly novel, you want to keep dipping your nose into the tankard for a whiff.

The taste is a citric sourness over clean malt, also a definite spiced cooked vegetable overtone. Feels really light on the palate...perhaps the strongest point of this beer.

It goes down easily, an odd taste, but you want to keep swigging it in an attempt to figure out what's in it. A strange one for sure, but I actually didn't find this any more odd than other orcish beers. How it gets its distinctive colour is anybody's guess, and not something I care to ponder on for too long, given its origin...
